A Quote and a Brief Q&A
“Real courage is…when you know you’re licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what.” — To Kill A Mockingbird
A basic truth that somehow gains mystic powers when uttered with that Southern tongue.
Not many questions recently. Perhaps I’ve answered everything.
freakinpickles asked: Hey dude. I just started watching Ugly Betty (it took a lot to say that) and I really like your character in the show. I just wanna ask, do you make up catchy songs off the top of your head like Jesse? Making up crazy songs about anything, anytime, anywhere is awesome. Keep up the good work.
VE: I applaud the bravery in your admission. I do make up crazy, obscene, nonsense songs. They are very weird. That part of Jesse was easy to relate to.
chessimprov asked: The Aflac incident with Godfried reminded me of this cult addendum “USA Up All Night.” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USA_Up_All_Night Ever watched any of those wacky shows?
VE: Never heard of it until you mentioned it.
Anonymous asked: hi?
VE: Hello?
Anonymous asked: Hey Val! How are you man? What is your background? I’ve read what you’re of Italian, German and Russian descent (great mix) and what your grandfather studied in Moscow! Is it true? p.s Greetings from Russia! Not going to visit Russia?:)
VE: If I had to use percentages I’d be 50% Italian, 25% German and 25% Russian. It’s true that my grandfather studied piano at the Moscow Conservatory. Due to war and the economy and later a family, he was never able to follow through with his music. It was one of his regrets.
